Solar Alternatives is not just a manufacturing organization, it is a socially active group, whose chief objective is to mainstream the marginalized youth of the adjacent area . It has discovered a fully viable vocational program of producing environmental friendly items, and has successfully trained youths to skillfully fabricate the new and cost saving items displayed here.

In doing this, accreditation has been part of the program. MNES (Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources) and NOS (National Open Schools), both Central Government of India organizations, have been actively helping and promoting this effort. Other affiliated organizations include:

Taru-Mitra, a student forum for promoting a protected and clean environment. There are more than 40,000 students active in this movement, and Solar Alternatives is truly part of their activities.

Ambedkar Training Institute, an environment concerned movement, primarily concerned with working toward the education of deprived youth, and fully accredited by the NOS government of India organization. This unit provides both vocational and academic training, with the objective of empowering as many as possible with the ability to mainstream, that is, to pass the ordinary academic examinations, and also be self supporting by using acquired skills.

Solar Alternatives has set out on a bold venture, and in being realistic in its methods, is providing items of great need, with the realization that this will make its goals truly viable. One must look at the products here advertised in this light.
